Late last month, we were invited along to one of my favourite cafes, Boulangerie Victor Hugo, for their special French evening to celebrate the release of the Beaujolais Nouveau! The event took on a new meaning following the awful terrorist attacks in Paris, which happened just a few days before the evening. It was a fantastic chance to show our solidarity with our French brothers and sisters by doing what they do best – sharing good times and enjoying great food and drink!
If you want to pick up some classic pieces that will serve you well year after year, then you should look no further for inspiration than the wardrobe of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. If you follow me you know I’m a big fan, and I love picking up pieces the duchess has worn, because I know that they’re always great quality and will last for seasons.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite items that Kate has been seen in, that are still available now. Each one of these has been tried and tested by me, and I’ve worn them time and again!
As a rule, I’m not a huge wine drinker. In fact, I’d go so far as to say, I don’t really drink wine at all, unless it’s fizzy and celebrating something fun. However, I couldn’t help but lust after this beauty of a bottle now available at Selfridge’s: the world’s smallest bottle of wine!
What an utterly charming little gift – if Santa popped one of these in my stocking, I certainly wouldn’t complain!

I’m not going to lie. From November until January, I wear as many Christmas jumpers as I possibly can. December is obviously reserved for the most Christmassy of my collection, but there’s nothing wrong with wearing a nice Fair Isle inspired sweater, or a cute reindeer print in the dark days of January (and beyond…?)

Which is your favourite? I have to say, it’s hard for me to pick, but the Joules navy stripe with stag print might just be my favourite – I’ve purchase one, and it’s so soft I don’t want to take it off! And, as a bonus, the stag head is knitted with gold sparkly wool, too! Heaven!

October is my favourite month of the year – the start of autumn, time for cosy coats, toffee apples, crunchy leaves, Halloween, and, of course, my birthday! This year, I’ve been looking at loads of cool items on the market for celebrating Halloween (as it’s on a Saturday again, whoooooo). Recently, I was lucky enough to have my diet derailed by some delicious food at WestQuay! The shopping centre recently launched its SummerDine promotion (see here) and was keen to show off its restaurants to a group of bloggers – including me.
I love my gorgeous Trek Allant bicycle, but I’ve never been really happy with the basket. I purchased it at the same time as the bike, and the black metal basket was the only one they had in stock. It’s served me well for a few years, but I always wanted a wicker one, to fit in with the look of the bike!
