It’s my 400th post, so to celebrate, I thought it was time for a very special edition of bag ‘n’ shoes, featuring two of my favourite brands: Mulberry and French Sole!
After my WWKD post earlier in the month, I couldn’t resist popping back to Bicester Village for a mooch and a browse. How could anyone resist bargains in the sunshine of a summer morning?!
Every once in a while, it’s good to do something you never would have considered before – try something completely different. Which is why I was happy to tag along with a couple of friends who wanted to go to the F1 testing last week at Silverstone!
There’s nothing better than tramping though a straw-strewn field on a Sunday, filling punnet after punnet with delicious, perfectly ripe strawberries.
Summer’s finally arrived: baby showers in Marc Jacobs from Girl Meets Dress, Mulberry, and Russell & Bromley wedges / ASOS scallop collar shirt and Banana Republic necklace / the Color Run in London / a Westerosi feast for Father’s Day / heating up the summer nights with a neon pink ASOS prom skirt, Mulberry flats, Dior hot pink lips and nails, and Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in rose / popping into London for an after work party / channeling the nautical trend with Next’s two part flats and striped shopper / admiring the blooms / a mid-week date night with my Mulberry Lily, Anya Hindmarch purse, Dior nails and lips in 999, plus cute little Etsy bumblebee hair grips and a heart necklace from Accessorize.
Do you guys remember that silly song Lily the Pink? Maybe it’s just because my mum was a bit of a guitar toting folk singer in her youth, but I used to sing that song alllll the time. Lily the Pink was, of course, the saviour of the human race – so therefore it makes total sense as to why I’ve fallen head over heels for every Mulberry Lily ever made in pink (and there are a lot…)
This is a bit of an unscheduled post – I have a load of bag ‘n’ shoe combos ready to go, but as I liked this outfit so much on Sunday I wanted to share! This was the Tootsie dress by Marc by Marc Jacobs, rented from Girl Meets Dress. This is the ultimate hedging-your-bets baby shower dress – perfect if you don’t know whether it’s a boy or a girl! Paired with the metallic mushroom Lily from Mulberry and Stuart Weitzman’s Minx wedges, it’s a nice, summery outfit!
At the end of 2013, I got a little bit obsessed by Mulberry’s pointed signature ballerinas. As usual, I waited for a sales bargain, but somehow I completely missed the start of the sale and by the time I got my act together, they had sold out in my size. Not even Mulberry’s helpful customer service department could track any down (there were a pair at Heathrow, apparently! Hmm!). So, I purchased the gorgeous high heeled versions (which I love!) – but I live in flats, so my wistful lusting wasn’t sated… Until I saw a mention of the shoes in the Mulberry section of Purseblog’s forum, that is! Turns out, Kafka.co.uk had some in stock… Not only that, but they were at sale prices. Not only that, but they were in my size. Not only that, but they had both pairs I was hankering after! NOT ONLY THAT, but there was a 10% off code as well! My goodness…
