Green, damson and oak: easy autumnal style

If you follow my blog you’ll know I love Next for their accessible fashion, Mulberry for their British design, and Hush for comfort and style. So, when there’s no surprise that one of my go-to outfits recently has been a combination of all three!

Autumn look

I bought the Rosie dress recently from Hush when it was on a flash sale – it’s thinner than I would like for the really cold months, but it’s perfect for the transitional period between seasons. The dress looks like two pieces, with a knitted damson coloured jumper on top, and a navy skirt beneath. I’m dying for them to do something similar in a thicker material – more of the same, hopefully, as I can’t wear wool (even cashmere!). You can buy the Rosie dress here currently priced at £65.

My Bryn is an older style from Mulberry, but I love the style of this oak satchel. Check out the range of Mulberry oaks and browns here (who wouldn’t love a beautiful oak Alexa?!)

Finally, the weirdly named Borg Collar Coat from Next is seriously one of my favourite coats of the season! I’ve never owned a green coat before and now I have no idea why – it’s flattering, festive, and really unusual! It also has a faux fur collar – and I love the pocket flaps on the hips, too. Sadly, they’re not real pockets, but there are real pockets just underneath. Find it here for £80 – and there’s one in navy too!

I definitely would recommend them – some of the fabrics take me by surprise if they’re different than the way I imagined, but I have several items from them and despite being what I’d consider slouchy, cosy items, they still get compliments when I wear them because they actually look good too! I have several of their chiffon shirts for summer now, plus a couple of other dresses they don’t stock any more, which I wear to death. One thing is everything seems to be hand wash only, but I bung it in under a gentle wash anyway, and haven’t had any issues yet!

Thank you! Hush is a great company, I really love their casual style as I’m a bit of a slob at times – they manage to make me comfy AND presentable!

Oh gosh, I don’t even know how many Mulberry bags I have now, it’s become an obsession. One you start, you won’t be able to stop! I still don’t have an Alexa though, that’s my Holy Grail bag! 😀 Which one would you pick if you had a fairy godmother?

My friend told me that she never gets asymmetrical coats because they look weird unless they’re zipped, but honestly, this one looks amazing open or fastened!
